My daughter auditioned for classmates in March and has now been invited in for ‘blue kids’ on Friday. Does anyone know what the ‘blue kids’ are? I’m thinking maybe the older kids in the school as my daughter is relatively tall....

This is the information I have been forwarded regarding each group requirements.
Class Mates
Looking for real children with bags of personality and individuality who appear in production numbers as Matilda’s classmates.
Must be EXCELLENT dancers.

Prefects
They need to be competent with a dance background, able to navigate stairs and travel at speed and move like machines dominating the hallways.

Maroon
Must be excellent dancers. Think Flawless, Diversity types.

Scarlet
Looking for a variety of different types for this group, think individuality.

Blue
Looking for EXCELLENT Dancers.
This is the strongest ability dance group and need VERY physically confident and experienced dancers.

Red
MUST be brilliant dancers with loads of energy.

Hazel
We need really strong counters for this group.
Precision and attention to detail is key here.
Excellent movement skills.

Acro
Specifically looking for children with EXCEPTIONAL Acro skills.
Dance ability a big bonus.

Do you think there will be further call backs this week - and has anyone had any info since auditioning this week?

Our invite mentions recalls late October early November. My DD is there on Friday for the first time since lock down. I know they are still going with seeing new kids well into next week too.

Does anyone know the height requirements for this please.

I was wondering that too - I think it varies group to group - blue is up to 4’11’ but I think others are much smaller. Also wondering if all groups require the kids to be London based?

I heard rumours they re filming near the Chilterns, so I doubt only London based kids. Most film studios are outside of London. x

Yes, I would think Pinewood or Shepperton - maybe location shoots in Chilterns?

We have not heard anything so I think my daughter is out.

My daughter had an audition last week however we haven't heard anything either.
