My only similar moment was finding I was sitting in front of Edwina Curry at Matilda in Stratford on Avon.
Not quite the same, is it? Story of my life....

The new Doctor was revealed yesterday to be Peter Capaldi.
From a Doctor who just turned 30 to a 55year old man. Doesn't the doctor usually get younger?

Not all the time and TBH I think a new and fresh Approach is needed
I'm disappointed its not a black DR but PC is a fine actor and I trust the choice made.... Really looking forward to seeing how he tackles it.

Not really sure about Peter Cappaldi and what he's been in.
I trust your opinion that he's a good actor, I wish him good luck in his life as the Doctor.

I'm like you RDF - I thought BBC would make a more controversial casting. I think the new Dr Who is a 'safe bet'. I'm sure he'll be great though and I'm looking forward to the Christmas episode now

If he did he'd be played by a 12 year old now! Hmmm.... There's a thought

I'm disappointed that Dr Who seems to regenerate as a white male every time, but PC has good acting credentials so I'm sure he'll bring something new to the role.
