I finally managed to get their website to accept our application a couple of days ago (after much trial-and-error I discovered that it doesn't like a full URL in the spotlight field, it seems, giving a simple single word "Forbidden" response if you try!)
..We got an email this afternoon inviting us to an assessment session in a couple of weeks time! This should be fun

We could end up having to choose ...

With the exception of the salutation, it felt like a standard letter explaining the procedures and costs. It did make a point of noting that they are very selective and only take on a very small percentage of applicants.
We'll see what happens on the day!

Usually there are costs for things like Spotlight and head shots

Oh right, sorry to be nosy but I'm quite new to this, how much roughly is it and does it depend from agency to agency?

The Spotlight fee does not go to the agency

They quote £60 (inc VAT) for an entry on their website. Either supply your own photos or use their photographer for £65 (inc VAT). No charge for the assessment session.
This compares very favourably to those e.g.
charged by Scream. They don't mention Spotlight, but that's quoted at £90 on Spotlight's website.

Spotlight entry is £90 for a year. There should be no other costs involved other than getting your headshots done...unless of course you already have them.
