How did the EDA go? She did well to get a second round at Central, so dint give up hope. DD got a couple of offers last year, but decided to try again, there’s still time.
Interesting the GSA are still auditioning for Foundation, DD had hers ages ago, but still waiting to hear the outcome, I know there have been some offers, so maybe she’s borderline and they’re waiting to see who else comes along. A couple she knows already had a no.
We’ve not heard from Italia C yet from self tape, although she’s not so bothered for some reason.
The time it all takes is crazy.
So EDA seemed to go well. Got kept back for interview at the end of the day so now the waiting game to see if they get an offer.
GSA foundation audition is on 20th and I believe that is their last one so hopefully they will start to make more decisions then. That week is crazy for my DC as they also have their BTEC Music performances that week. Hopefully everything will work out.
Sounds positive for EDA sailorgirluae to be kept for an interview has to be a positive sign

We have had a lull in things going on here, thinking about current offers, seeing if there is movement on a reserve list and one more audition to go!!! Then it will need to be decision time. My daughters top two couldn't be more different and one is a full offer and one is a reserve offer so difficult to know whether to hold out or accept other top offer

what would people put on pros and cons list for offers???
I would ask your dd what’s most important to her - course content, contact hours, location, cost, funding, industry links, etc. I know for dd location plays a big part, she would like to stay as close to London as possible, so if it came to choosing that would be take priority. Good luck, it’s a tricky one but nice position to be in.

If the reserve is something she really wants, maybe she should hold out. If there’s an offer she doesn’t want to lose, I would call them and ask the latest you can let them know, they won’t give it away, it’s getting in on time for accommodation that’s our problem!
DD has an offer for PPA, but is just letting it sit there at the moment as it’s not her first choice and she has an RB one, second choice but edging forward, if GSA comes through that may top trump it, even though it’s foundation.
I’m sure college’s are used to this sort of thing, we can’t do anything until June, as that’s Mountview!
Maybe make a list of costs, how easy accommodation is etc. I believe the right college will find you.

So, today an offer for GSA Foundation, the dream college, which she has wanted since she was 13!
So decision time… the BA at Rose Bruford, American Theatre Arts, or the Foundation MT at GSA and go through this again next year, bearing in mind she’s already had a year out.
At least she’s going somewhere!!!

Congratulations to her. I think since it's something she's wanted for years - follow the dream, see where it leads, rather than think 'what if'

Congratulations! I am completely biased as my son is at GSA and is loving every single minute. But, and I’m sure you are aware, they usually only take 1 or 2 from foundation into BA - no reason it can’t be her but good to know the odds.

That’s fantastic news, congratulations!!!! If GSA was always her dream school, I would probably go with that, next year she should be in a better position to try again.
Dd is waiting to hear after her GSA recall last week, she was one of 6 kept for an interview. I was dealing well with it all until now, but now she’s so close the waiting is killing me!

My DC has foundation audition on Saturday. My DS did GSA foundation a few years back and loved it. He was holding 2 BA offers at the time but still went with the GSA foundation but as others have said there are no guarantees going forward. He only got one offer the following year and whilst he took it the school didn’t suit him and he ended up moving. He’s now out the other end and working but we now have to go through it all again!

I have to say, the waiting is awful!
She had her audition for GSA back in February.
I think she’s aware if she does take GSA there’s no guarantees and the thought of doing this a third year!!! Ahhh. But the campus is wonderful, and it’s a great experience, training somewhere like that, even if it’s just a Foundation for now.
I hope everyone gets good outcomes, I don’t think she’ll bother with the Mountview recall now, seems no point, but good luck.

Is the Mountview recall for foundation or BA? My DS cancelled his Mountview recall once he got GSA as it was 100% his first choice.

@k8t Congrats to your DD on her GSA MT Foundation offer. That's great! If it is MT she wants to do, then I'd take it. The RB offer is probably really interesting for someone who wants to do American Theatre but they're not at all the same thing, so I'd say she should think about what it is she wants to be doing, and not just about degree versus Foundation. My DS is at GSA (doing Acting but knows lots of MT degree and Foundation people) and he says the MT Foundation is really good. Lots of them have turned down degree offers elsewhere to do it. As others have said, it's still only a small number who progress from there to MT degree at GSA, but I think the hit rate for MT degrees at other good colleges is decent. They only make offers to people they think have the potential to go on to a degree so I would take it as a vote of confidence.
@Ditzi Fingers crossed for good news for your DD from GSA!

That’s interesting, thank you. She’s decided she’s going to take it, all very excited in this house. She’s dreamt about this so long. She loves American Theatre and Rose B, but you’ve got to live the dream.

That’s great that she has made the decision to go to GSA for foundation. My DS has been the main student helper on most of the audition days and from what he’s told me, very few have made it to the shortlist of either foundation or degree so this is a massive achievement.
