Yes, I agree, glass of wine (or 3 😂) well deserved!
DD has two offers, waiting on a few outcomes plus she has received a no. The waiting is really stressful isn’t it?!
Wishing your DD lots of luck!! 😀

Fabulous news Louisedunn, we need more of that and bottles of wine of course! Yes, the waiting is a killer, it truly is the worst part. Congratulations on the new offer 👏🏼

Agree, it is a nightmare isn't it!! We are fortunate to have a conservatory that DS has been using to do his filming as we've cleared it of all furniture and turned it into a mini dance studio. But it is days and days of filming, watching the videos and then re-filming. He has an offer from Bird and did his Italia Conti recall yesterday (plus a rejection from Mountview). He also has a recall for Urdang (no date yet) and needs to submit Laine by tomorrow - all done but he's re-recording something else this morning. Then he'll have a break and film his Performers audition stuff the last weekend of Feb for his 6th March audition - maybe some of it in the garden as the 'dance studio' is not large enough for one of their requirements. Congrats on finishing the filming and submitting at any rate!! Fingers crossed for everybody and the very best of luck to you all [-o<

Icantdance, well done on his offer from Bird and his recalls for Italia Conti and Urdang. Those are excellent results so far \:D/! It's hearing things like this that keeps my spirit up. Yes, that last sequence for Performers definitely needs the space. It's fortunate that your DS is able to work from home in the conservatory. That will give him the freedom to work at his own space in an area he is comfortable. Good luck with his submissions to Laine and Performers and all the best in general. You both will feel so relieved when those last two are submitted!!!

Thanks Anastasia79, I hope things go well for you too and the offers start to pour in! It is very stressful at the moment and DS keeps his cards very close to his chest so I have no idea what his preferences are. Fingers crossed for your DD. Let us all know when you have news!!

The stress definitely continues! DD realised last night that she'd missed off a Laine exercise on her self- tape so a quick filming session then a re-doing of the combined tape and resubmitting today. She's just had the details of her interview next week. Think she just managed to swap her submission in time!

I’ll make sure to share the news (good or not so good) when we hear 🤞🏼

Phew that was close, it's so good she spotted that she had missed one off before she submitted it. We submitted on Monday but still haven’t heard from Laine re the time for the interview next week. I’m guessing we’ll hear tomorrow or by Friday.

All video submissions FINALLY finished here as well. We totally underestimated how time consuming and stressful it would be!
My daughter has tried to rank her choices but without going to look round it’s not easy. She has 4 that she would be very happy with and 2 other possibilities that she calls her back up plan (she has one offer from a back up plan so far so at least we can relax knowing that she has somewhere to go).

My DD had already submitted her tapes anastasia79. She emailed Laine to explain and said she'd resubmit and to ignore her first submission. They said that was fine. Luckily she had time on her side!
That's great Grace03 - such a relief to be finished - although we've found that recalls sometimes require even more filming!

Just wondering if anyone knows exactly how many students each college will be accepting this year? This is something we keep discussing and may become a deciding factor for DD if she's lucky enough to get more offers. Performers said 150 for degree and 40 for diploma. Laine said about 80 ish but could be more. Not sure about Urdang. Thanks to anyone who can share any data!

Amo185, that’s really good that she was early with her submission so she had time to make a correction. Those numbers for colleges are also what I’ve heard. Performers will also be taking on an additional 70 degree students to their new Birmingham campus, which will help especially those closer to that location and means they’ll have more spaces to offer. Bird said today that they would be taking on 125 degree and 50 diploma. I remember Urdang saying their numbers were flexible as it changes each year. It was in the ballpark of up to 150-190 I think I recall, including AVT, degree, diploma and foundation students.

Brilliant =D>! It is such a relief when you know all their submissions are finished. Well done on her offer so far as well. That's also what my DD is finding the hardest, not being able to visit the schools. Usually it just takes them to visit a school to know immediately whether it is for them or not. Hopefully they will get a chance to do that after Easter before they have made their final decisions.

Many thanks for the data! I had thought Performers numbers included the new campus so that was a revelation. The colleges are getting bigger and bigger - good for those auditioning as more young people will get places and have a great three years, but more seeking agents and employment in the future. (And we so need the Brexit Visa issue sorted too!) Totally agree with the previous comments about needing to visit a college before deciding, but with so many asking for deposits it may be impossible unless we are all prepared to lose that money. Will be glad when all these Online auditions are over, results are through and decisions can be made! Have a good weekend everyone. It's nearly here! :)

Well done to all those who have finished submitting their self tapes. Even as a parent it must be a relief! I am feeling anxious myself as DD has only submitted one so far as she is on a foundation and so she has applied for courses later this year as they help with their audition prep. Its very strange this year, even compared to last. My DD was lucky to visit everywhere last year so she knows where she would prefer to go and where she doesn't. For those who haven't been able to visit it must be very hard to decide! All I know is that we have friends who have gone to Urdang, Mountview, Laines, GSA, Bird, Wilkes and Performers and every DC has loved or is loving where they are :D

Please can anyone give any opinions/advice on Urdang vs Bird for triple threat degree. DD wants to focus on all 3 disciplines equally.
I’m aware that Urdang does the track system in year 2 for triple threat but I am guessing they are not guaranteed to get on that track? And not sure what happens at Bird.
Thanks
