It’s hard isn’t it . My dd asked me to open any letter that arrived so I was feeling nervous . Anyway nothing came today . My dh was laughing at the fact that I was waiting with baited breath for a letter to tell us whether or not a college will let us pay them 18,000 a year x 3 years to train our dd . It made me laugh and put things into perspective .
I’ll still be waiting for the postman tomorrow though 😂

This made me laugh so much because it’s so true! 🤣Of the hundreds that apply unfortunately because it’s so expensive probably 75% are looking for funding! 😳

For anyone asking about Laine DADA auditions, last year it was about 6 weeks I think before the letters came out. (It certainly felt that long!) My DS received a letter placing him 3rd on the boy’s reserve list. He finally got the call that he had made it in mid-July. It was a very long wait but totally worth it! Accommodation costs etc are likely to be approx £10k pa (including food, travel etc). My DS pays £450 pcm plus bills (around £40 pcm) in a shared house. There are some cheaper shared houses but I think these are snapped up by older years. £450 seems to be lower than most. Our DS worked for the whole of the summer after A Levels and again at Christmas (4 weeks) and has managed to cover at least half of his living costs. Feel free to message me with any Laine questions. Always happy to help. My DS wouldn’t be where he is if it wasn’t for this site xx

Omg! That's a long wait! I'm on my knees with this 13 day wait!! Mindyou it was thinking that it was going to be sooner that is the problem. Bird said 3 weeks and it was 6 days so was a pleasant surprise! If you know what you are dealing with it's easier to manage your expectations!

Yes , Laine said that all the letters are ready to be sent the day after audition but there can be a delay as Miss Laine signs each one individually .

No news here either . My dd’s first audition was Laine last week and then it’s full on from next week . Her friends did all their auditions in the last month so their offers have already poured in for Arts Ed, Performers , Chichester , Conti , Madd , Masters & LSC . One of the Boys was offered Bird on the day .

My dd applied and paid on 7/2/20 for an audition at Wilkes . Apart from an acknowledgement , she’s received no details of audition dates . We’ve both emailed in last few days but no reply . Does anyone know if this is the norm?

We did the same and she's only had that same confirmation email. Applied about the same time.
