Great news on the successes! Early days yet still so I’m sure there will be more great news in the following months.

Realised that Lotsolaffs DD must be who my DD told me about last night (as she's also at EDA - first year). That is really super news. DD says she's amazingly talented! Huge well done to her! DD is also looking to go for colleges such as GSA Mountview Arts Ed etc along with Laine (or stay at EDA). But all so tough to get into. Really pleased to read all the success stories on here. Well done to everyone! x

Lol,it's a small (performing world)
Thank you both.
Now off to open a fake account so no one knows who I am :D
I have to say she wouldn't have been so successful in her auditions without her time at EDA.

Congratulations on the offer. That’s really positive! Bird seem to put almost everyone on reserve until all auditions done👍. Only a few get unconditional offers straight away x

She's disappointed as thinks it means she's not good enough. Do people.get in off reserve? Read last years forum and only 2 who were I could see didn't get offered?

I think it was really slow last year, dd had 3 friends on the reserve list and none of them got offered places, no clue why. I never really get Bird’s reserve list, it seems so much more of a thing than anyone else’s. Fingers crossed for your dd though, she could be at the top, whatever is meant to be will be x

Completely agree, it’s a fantastic College with the best training. My DD loves it :D

Tell her not to be disappointed.

I must admit although frustrating I think they are doing it fairly. My DD did some of the open day tours and when admissions was being explained potential students were told that being on reserve is not a bad thing, in fact it's a good thing. It means they want you. If they didn't think you were right for Bird you would have been told no.

They have limited spaces and offer them out fairly after all auditions have taken place and the reserve is the best way of doing it

Good luck and fingers crossed

One is at Addict, one is re-auditioning this year and one has given up. My dd is red-auditioning after a year’s pre-voc course so fingers crossed her and her friend get a degree course this time.
