EDSA (Emil Dale) Cambridge - any good?

Post by Splitz »

Hi there,
My DD (12) is going to do a trial class/audition at EDSA Cambridge. She has professional aspirations, so is seeking a new challenge from her current (un-auditioned) MT Saturday school. When DD told her current teacher she was auditioning, she was very much against it, saying Emil Dale doesn't have a good reputation. But looking through this forum, it seems otherwise ! (for the Hitchin centre at least.) Does anyone have experience of EDSA Cambridge?
Thanks :)

Personally I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about Emile Dale and the graduate destinations are impressive! I know there are a few very happy parents of Emile kids on this forum who I’m sure can tell you more! I can also highly recommend MXM in London if she wants to try an audition only weekend class. My DS was also looking for more of a challenge than his weekly stagecoach class and this has certainly done that! Great tutors both regular and guest.

Hi, Dd (age 13) attends EDSA school in Hitchin and is thriving. They have the same team of resident and guest teachers in Cambridge as they have in Hitchin, so the same high standard of teaching. Unfortunately there’s a lot of people out there that will tell you otherwise, and not everyone likes it. If you’re looking for high standard triple threat training, then go for it. I can definitely recommend the school, they genuinely care about their students and have their best interest at heart. My advice would be to let your dd audition, go and see for yourself. Good luck :)

Thanks for your replies, it sounds positive. As you say, DD needs to go along and try it out for herself, so we shall see!
