Annie in the West End!

Post by Amandapanda »

Excited to see a couple of articles in the press about this.
Does anyone know if the orphans have been cast? Seems like it's not long till they open and we don't know anyone called to audition for it :-k

I'm assuming this one will be for London based girls only. Anyone heard any more?

Debbie o'brien is casting. Yes another one to discount lots of talented youngsters from around the UK! I have to say I'm so impressed with ALW for casting children from all over for School of Rock. We all understand the reasons why most don't, but it doesn't make it any easier for children who just want the chance to perform in the West End.

I'm thinking the wider net for SoR was more of a necessity than a desire to give more kids a chance.

Possibly, but they haven't restricted it to the instrumentalists which they could have done.

It was also in Backstage, so you would be able to see it, you can also contact Debbie O'Brian directly. Although I have a DS it still makes me so sad to see to much great talent ignored just because we cannot afford to live in London. This is what makes the business elitist... grumble over.

Hi, do any of you know how to contact Debbie Obrien about Annie? I emailed the address on the website but think it's just a general info address and may not reach the right people? Does anyone know if there is a direct email for the Annie casting?
