I'm after some advice... Does anyone think it worthwhile auditioning for Spirit performers if you don't live in London. Think 90mins by train + tube travel and at a cost of £50 a time?! We are in Bristol and whilst there are many different musical theatre groups such as stagecoach, PQA, Bristol School of Performing Arts, there is no audition only/elite training and minimal exposure opportunities. What are people's thoughts?

Re: Spirit
I suppose if you are accepted onto the elite team then yes, maybe. I wouldn't if it was just regular training. For us only an hour away it would be a huge commitment in time and finance.
The kids do seem to get great opportunities and travel from a very long way to attend. I know my DD would absolutely love it. Following with interest.

Personally, I wouldn't travel that far. SYPC are very good - my DD is in the very first promotional video that got them started, however, when asked to join the company and train with them, I felt that it was too far each week to go to London. Fortunately, where we live, she gets as good if not better training, only without the exposure that SYPC offers. I would probably let your child do the holiday workshops as then you can maybe organise somewhere for her to stay.
