Rose Bruford

Post by JayLou62 »

Hi,

Does anyone have any info on Rose Bruford (American Theatre Arts) such as number of hours, audition process, costs, accommodation etc.
Trying to work out if its a possible option for dd (she wants to do Musical Theatre)? We've struggled with open days as I work 2 weekends out of 3 and many of the open days have clashed and some have been too far to travel and only offer weekday evenings :(

From what I've been told it's a 4 year Degree (18 start) no Dada but I assume Student Loans

One year is spent in a placement (possibly in America - but I'm not sure)

A Ballet Teacher (possibly ex Ballet teacher?) I was talking to at the weekend recommended it to my DD......but I haven't found out much yet

Why do us mums end up doing the research?

Thanks Katymac,

Just wondered how theoretical the course is really as dd wants a more practical course and I haven't found that information anywhere :(
I know what you mean about us mums doing the research but to be fair dd is currently struggling with her A levels, dance classes, takes her Grade 8 Singing exam tomorrow, has a Musical Theatre show on Sunday, takes her Lifeguard pre-test on Monday so there's a lot going on for her (like all our dc I guess!) Shows we care :)

IT is a beautiful campus, but they basically told dd that they prefer older students who have 'experienced' life!! whatever that means..lol
But go for it, she really like it there
I believe that children are our future, teach them well and let them lead the way.......
