Thanks so much again everyone. Scholarship definitely doesn't cover full tuition costs! I wish!

I am so pleased for you. Having met you filming Saphire Battersea- Cambidge would be perfect for you, many doors will open for you. Durham would be a good reserve.

Ah ruby what a tremendous choice/decision to make!
I don't have any advice particularly. I agree with the comment that you are the same student whether you choose Durham or Cambridge. You are clearly a remarkable student (otherwise you wouldn't have these offers
) and I feel sure that you will make the most of all the opportunities that come your way. I applied for two drama schools and was offered both. I wrote a list of pros and cons for both and was still no nearer to reaching a decision as there seemed to be sensible, pragmatic reasons to choose either. I did have a long hard think about it and in the end just went with the one that "felt" right and had the sort of surroundings I thought I would enjoy studying in.
The reassuring thing to remember is that they are both "good" - so whichever side you come down on will mean that you have made a "good" decision.
The only thought I would throw in is that agents do sometimes go to Footlights stuff - it is likely to give you a more visible profile if you can get in there (which isn't guaranteed - so you shouldn't make that your sole reason for choosing Cambridge).

Knowing students who are currently studying at Cambridge and Durham. Cambridge students are expected to work very hard for their 8 week terms ! Whereas at Durham they have 10 week terms, and if you're studying History, you will have more time to engage in other activities, ie. to join societies, drama etc. (a friends ds is studying Classics and only has 11 study hrs per week !) A lot of students who get an offer from Cambridge, and don't get their grades do end up selecting to go to Durham Uni, and those who don't want the pressure of Cambridge, select Unis like Durham, Warwick and York in the first place instead !
