Wedding Songs

Post by Welsh Mum »

My Dd has been asked to sing 2 songs during a church wedding ceremony this summer. They want bach's Ave Maria which she knows, but are open to suggestions for another one. I think they want a similar sort of song, not something modern. Any ideas? We thought of Pie Iesu, but it may be a bit high.

Theres a song called oh perfect love that i have sung at weddings with a small choir the words are beautiful and very fitting/ we often do it alongside ave maria its a hymn think the words were originally a poem it suits a soprana voice we do it as a 4 part but often solo voice on first verse so will work well as solo throughout ,... I will try and find out who wrote it etc but you may come across it if you google :)
If you dont buy a ticket how can you ever expect to win !!
