Anyone in the South West area? (preferably Bath/Bristol)

Post by *Cazzy-Lou* »

I am currently writing a short film that myself & a friend will then be directing & filming (this is for our third year Performance Project module)
The script I am currently writing involves flash back scenes to when the 2 main characters are children.
This is where you come in, I would need two girls of about 7/8/9 (possibly even 5/6)
Is there anyone who lives in the area that has a child of that age that would be interested in getting involved?
Filming would probably take place in late Feb/March time.
Please let me know, if you have any suggestions as to were else I could advertise that would be great? also does anyone know if licenses would be needed? (i'm knew to all this so any info much appreciated)
Thank you :) xxx

Good luck with the film.

Shame you don't need a 17 year old lad, as I have a spare one and we live in Bristol!

If any of your felllw students need one do let me know!

Hi
Good luck with your film. I have PM'd you with some info about my girls. Their favourite auntie lives in Bath!

I hope you find what you are looking for - if Flo and Pandy don't 'fit' I'm sure there'll be others from this site who would be a joy to work with.

I think it's safest to assume that licenses are needed. Our LEA requires them for all filming that is directed, whether paid or not and whether in school time or not. Others may be different. Having heard all sorts of horror stories about licensing, I've been delighted with how helpful our licensing team is - once the paperwork is with them, they turn it around very quickly and efficiently.

Hope this helps

Hi Tikka - our plan is to open up our auditions to the first & second years so will be looking for slightly older then 17 which is a shame but I will definitely let you know if I hear of anyone else needing a teenage boy.

Flosmom - thank you for the pm, I have pmed you back :)
