Suggestions for musicals to watch

Post by Hilltop »

Hello, I’m looking to take my DD to see musicals that have a significant amount of dance in or at least ‘triple threat’ type of performances (if that makes sense!). We’ve been to see 42 Street, but the others we’ve seen so far have had a lot less dance in, more actor/singer or actor/musician based performances. Does anyone have any suggestions? She’s 13 years old.

Thanks in advance.

Currently in the West End or touring?

Tickets are expensive and difficult to get but the dance in Hamilton is technical, innovative and symbolic.

Wicked use some highly trained dancers in their chorus including en pointe.

Phantom of the Opera

If Kinky Boots is touring anywhere near you those Angels are amazing.

In 2-3 years time when she’s a bit older there is Book of Mormon.

You can’t beat this for the ultimate in triple threat

And it’s an amazing production

Also can I make a plug for NYMT’s “Anything Goes” in August at The Other Palace. It’s full of tap numbers and strong choreo - Lee Proud is choreographing
I’ve seen a sneak peek of some of,the big numbers and it’s fab!
