Did anyone see the mobile phone footage of Whitney Houstons concert on the news???

She was singing 'I will always love you' ........ She was terrible. Honestly, really bad

Would this be due to her drug use over the years or a vocal polyp like has been mentioned on this thread??

A quick update.....we went back to the consultant and the speech therapist had misdiagnosed my daughter!! apparently she has some damage on the membrane on the vocal chord and this is called polyploid (sp) so we can only presume the ST misread this and thought it said polyp :x :x the consultant said vocal rest will cure this and there should be no further damage :D at first my daughter was furious as she has been stressing over the op and of course upset that she had told the panel at uni auditions about her "polyp" which never was but now she is just happy it wasnt as serious as it could have been.

Thanks for all the support and advice :D xx

So glad that this is not seriuos like you thought - must be great not worrying about operation. I can understand your Dds frustration thouigh. Stragely enough someone my DD knew had a similar misidagnosis, and also missed out on auditions one year because of it :(

Anyway, great news, vocal rest and then go for it next year :D
