Yes the casting is on Spotlight Ditzi - my DD's agent was in touch about it a few days ago. Also see that the British Theatre Academy are running workshops from their members to put some people forward for it. Casting on weekends 5th/11th March. Good luck to all who go for it!

All girls. Most importantly is probably height. 4'3 and under for youngest (playing age 6) up to 4'10 (playing age 13). Doesn't actually specify real age, but usual these days is 9 and above. Casting 7 roles including Annie, 3 teams. Looking for mix of looks, ethnicity etc.

Does anyone have any idea what the rehearsal schedule would be like? I guess if it's for 3 months 5 times a week (like Matilda) it would be a nightmare to get the child to if living far away.

And yes they house SOR kids who don't play instruments which is amazing

Which parts are housed that are not players?

A range of of children, no particular characters. I think they house any child that they want in the cast. There is probably a limit to how many they can house , but that's not made public knowledge. It will be one of the things I assume they take into account when recasting every 6 months, juggling which children they want with how many they can house each time.

Just looked it up. 12/13 out of 39 seem to be outside the standard 1 hour travelling distance. Across whole range of characters.

No. She's sticking to her dance training which is her real passion.
I would love to see the show though x

Have seen the show. Some of the parts are small so I don't see them casting children who can't commute to play those parts. Summer's part is hard to cast so yes they'd house Summers (or tomikas)
Back to Annie... :D
