Hey, haven't watched the film in AGES do you think they would use a tall girl? Or is it not worth getting my hopes up?
Thx

Haha! Your welcome
Re: School of Rock the Musical
6ft height limit is also for you! But never say never! The musical is still in the writing process' so they probably won't even be thinking about height limits, age (etc). But I think that they will want a variety of heights as the class is kind of like a bunch of misfits, there are many tall, and very short people in the class. Hopefully Andrew will want tall, short, medium people in the show, not just the tiny ones (which most musicals want)cupcakephoebz wrote:Hey, haven't watched the film in AGES do you think they would use a tall girl? Ha ha ha....I was fooled there, too, for a moment or two!!! Brilliant!!
On a serious note, I wonder what ages they will go for in this School of Rock musical. This was Ds' all-time fave film for years and years (been recently superceded by "Ray")......he can literally recite the whole thing from beginning to end!!
Unfortunately, he's nearly 18 now so will be too old to audition. Mind you, he is only 5'2 (mayby 5'3" with chunky trainers on!) so may get away with it, apart from the broken voice!!!
He's gonna be gutted!!!

Don't count your chickens until the contract's in your hand!
Re: School of Rock the Musical
Maybe there's an adult part still waiting for him??
Re: School of Rock the Musical
He could be Jack Black? He is quite short, or he could just be the random tall kid with the deep voice

What about that chap in the leather jacket (well sleeves - not much jacket there) who fancies the head teacherc at the rock concert towards the end! (Can you tell I've watched it a few times!!)
Re: School of Rock the Musical
Haha! He could be him, he'd need to build up a lot of muscle though!
Re: School of Rock the Musical
Wow, fun thread, we have SO much talent on this site...who's with me for penning 'Not-a-pushy-Mum THE Musical'. Would feature such numbers as
'I go driving in my car'
'The Long and Winding Road'
'Its got to be Perfect'
'I'm going to make you a Star'
'Climb ev'ry Mountain'
'On the road again'
'Day Tripper'
'Dance On'
I really must have something better to do...

...we can get Chitty out of retirement....we all need one of those....SNN wrote: Your HIRED!
a guest appearance by Mary Poppins would cover the scene for :
An overnight "script-learnt-and-directed, lucky-outfit-recovered-from-floor-washed-and-ready-to-wear, picnic packed, maps marked, schools alerted, childcare sorted, husband appeased(?)" miracle that takes place overnight when agents call with a next day casting....LOL

This made me laugh out loud....lucky outfit. I thought it was just my quirky DD with lucky clothes. All of the above except childcare and husband.DQsMum wrote:...we can get Chitty out of retirement....we all need one of those....SNN wrote: Your HIRED!
