Top Hat

Post by Welsh Mum »

Aparently Tom Chambers and Summer Strallen are in rehearsal for Top Hat on stage (I remember it as an old Fred Astaire/Ginegr Rogers musical). However, don't know when or where this will be. Could be a great show for dancing though :D and some lovely songs :D :D

We saw Summer in Love Never Dies just yesterday, she was great, her facial expressions were excellent.

I think this show will be in the Lowry - is that in Manchester?

Thanks for the link - the irony is that the tour is not coming anywhere near me ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) {evil} {evil}

I would LOVE to see this show, but all venues are just too far away {evil}

It's still a 3-3 and half hour journey each way - not nice after evening performance, and hotel just adds to expense. Will have to see if there are any trips arranged from round here.

Did anyone actually go and see Top Hat on stage? I am trying to organise a birthday party in the next couple of months...perhaps I should wait until the reviews come out?
I am particularly interested if anyone saw it along with Singin in the Rain, and could tell me which they thought would be better for a 10 year old's birthday? I have found a few pictures online and some information but the web doesn't have too many people who have seen it!

I've seeen it twice, and throughly enjoyed it. Slightly biaised as friend's daughter is in it. Lots of dancing especially tap. There is a facebook page and the link below has more clips etc on it. Haven't seen singing in the rain so can't compare.
