Royal Welsh - Musical Theatre

Post by musicalmummy123 »

DS has been offered a place on the BA (Hons) in Musical Theatre at Royal Welsh. Does anyone have any experience with the MA course in Musical Theatre or Royal Welsh in general as the I know the BA (Hons) in MT is new for September 2021. Many thanks.

Our only experience is that they are very slow!

Dd had a recall audition with them for the MA the week before Easter and she is still waiting the outcome.

Can't help with Royal Welsh insider info but DD was recalled for this and later had an interview. Although they were very complimetary she didn't feel she was totally suited to their course (she is very much a dancer as well as a singer/actress). A friend however - who is a super actress/singer and already has a lot of professional acting experience- has accepted her place there. She has said there are several Americans on the course and feels she will get a very personalised programme albeit amongst a very small cohort. It's a leap of faith but one worth taking! Well done to your ds.
