I wish all the graduates every possible success.I also remember, Marissa, your daughter's journey and the resilience she showed before getting onto her course. Was that really three years ago! Our DD is at EDA 6th form. They currently have all the second years off due to one case in each bubble and now the first years have one case in each bubble so have to isolate too - and this was after a brave attempt by the college to rid themselves of Covid by going back on Zoom three weeks ago. For some this means no Showcase after nearly two years of not performing. Grad Ball/Prom was cancelled a while back and as lawn says they've had less than 6 months of proper training over the past two years. These young people all deserve a medal - and a free government funded year to catch up! Hats off to them all - but especially the 2020 and 2021 graduates.

Ahh Thankyou both x Yes three years has passed. I really felt for last years graduates and didn’t think it could get any worse but this year has been so hard for them all. My dd has been incredibly lucky and now it’s just a waiting game. Dd had improved so much in her first year that it is such a shame, but it was also about them just being musical theatre students too, socialising, having fun and doing what 20 year olds should be doing. Dd just messaged me to ask me to take her to The Hammond sign before we pack up and bring her home next week. I think she will find it tough once home after all it’s such an uncertain kind of career. All my love and hugs to everyone still training. I’m just praying things start to open up now for them all x

Sadly this whole year and a half has been a disaster and my daughter has been heartbroken how her training has gone. Not been in one musical show, no agent panel, had an online showcase. final show cancelled. They just had a short showcase at the school this week and they were all amazing. My daughter has been incredibly lucky and has graduated with a first and had already six offers for agents. One of which she has accepted happily. I know nobody could have helped Covid striking but I do feel things could have been handled better.
However as I say my daughters ending has come out so much better than we had expected and I know some of the teachers did everything they could to support them. I can only say that because of Covid I know she is so ready for this industry, I just hope she has that chance to keep growing x

I wish everyone the best xxxx
Wishing her every success for the future, I'd quite like there to be a Graduate thread, do you fancy starting one?

Well done! I can post there in 2 years 🤣
I am dreading graduation, it's all just such a worry - hopefully people will be generous enough to share any experiences in life after graduation.

No one else is posting so we will see but Goodluck, I pray for everyone that things are kind of settling down in a way that they can train and graduates like my daughter can start their dream careers! Right now it’s just a waiting game for dd that her agent finds her some auditions!!!!
