That’s such devastating news for the students involved . I feel so bad for them . Imagine the upheaval of leaving home and signing a rental contract etc and then to have this happen .Hopefully something can be done

I know from the girls post it doesn't seem that anything else has been done for them by LSC but my heart breaks for them - just imaging how my girl would feel if she was in that situation - she was asking for advice on Instagram so not sure the ins and outs but I really hope they get sorted

Still movement on this. My dd is on diploma and still on degree reserve. A girl is moving into their flat who has been offered degree 2 weeks into the course so must be higher up the degree reserve list than she is.

How can they still be offering degree places at this stage 2-3 weeks into the course?
Are people dropping out?

Coingratulations - she'll love it at Bird

Good luck with the contract - Performers should be OK - they can only keep your deposit if they don't full the space!
Hi Munchpot, I’m busy reading through all the 2020 and 2021 posts as my DD is auditioning for 2021 entry. What is the deposit for Performers if an offer is made. Thanks 😊

Hi Good luck with the auditions. I can't remember off the top of my head. I think it was between £500 and £1000 - but they may have changed in the last couple of years

Wow! that's very late to move but it shows if you aren't totally happy you can swap just like a regular degree.

If they moved on the degree they will have had to start again as they’re only in their first year, there’s no 2nd or 3rd year degree x

Brilliant! They’re also one of the few schools that also didn’t ask for an audition fee this year. All these things really help parents out especially with all that we’ve been through this year with lockdowns and people’s earnings being affected.

The fee for one conservatoire my dd applied to was £100!
