My dh was laughing at the fact that I was waiting with baited breath for a letter to tell us whether or not a college will let us pay them 18,000 a year x 3 years to train our dd . It made me laugh and put things into perspective .
I’ll still be waiting for the postman tomorrow though 😂

This made me laugh so much because it’s so true! 🤣Of the hundreds that apply unfortunately because it’s so expensive probably 75% are looking for funding! 😳

For anyone asking about Laine DADA auditions, last year it was about 6 weeks I think before the letters came out. (It certainly felt that long!) My DS received a letter placing him 3rd on the boy’s reserve list. He finally got the call that he had made it in mid-July. It was a very long wait but totally worth it! Accommodation costs etc are likely to be approx £10k pa (including food, travel etc). My DS pays £450 pcm plus bills (around £40 pcm) in a shared house. There are some cheaper shared houses but I think these are snapped up by older years. £450 seems to be lower than most. Our DS worked for the whole of the summer after A Levels and again at Christmas (4 weeks) and has managed to cover at least half of his living costs. Feel free to message me with any Laine questions. Omg! That's a long wait! I'm on my knees with this 13 day wait!! Mindyou it was thinking that it was going to be sooner that is the problem. Bird said 3 weeks and it was 6 days so was a pleasant surprise! If you know what you are dealing with it's easier to manage your expectations!

Yes , Laine said that all the letters are ready to be sent the day after audition but there can be a delay as Miss Laine signs each one individually .

I bet you will all hear by Friday, GSA notification result came at 6pm on a Thursday night.

No news here either . My dd’s first audition was Laine last week and then it’s full on from next week . Her friends did all their auditions in the last month so their offers have already poured in for Arts Ed, Performers , Chichester , Conti , Madd , Masters & LSC . One of the Boys was offered Bird on the day .

My dd applied and paid on 7/2/20 for an audition at Wilkes . Apart from an acknowledgement , she’s received no details of audition dates . We’ve both emailed in last few days but no reply . Does anyone know if this is the norm?

We did the same and she's only had that same confirmation email. Applied about the same time.
