Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry
Did anyone go to the CDMT conference held at Mountview on Sunday? It was a really informative day and all the top colleges were there. We learnt a lot and I had thought I was already well researched. Applications going in this week for 6 colleges. It seems quite quiet on this forum compared to last year. Anyone had any auditions or offers yet?
Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry
CDMT has a separate thread, but during our seminar on funding on Sunday, we were told that fewer students are auditioning early in order to maximise on their pre-vocational training (which so many now do). But you need to be careful you don't miss the DADA funding cut off date if eligible. We do know of two boys who attended the boys' audition day at Laine and have offers with full funding

When my daughter applied for Bird last year her school were being really slow with UCAS so we did the application anyway, Bird said don’t worry about the 14 days limit to do UCAS, it’s just in there so people don’t take ages, think we did UCAS about 6 weeks later! As long as UCAS goes through before the audition date you’ll be fine, best to get an audition date booked in xDancemum1973 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2019 2:23 pmGood luck my daughter had a reply straight back from arts ed with an audition in Feb. Yeah we were given a date from the paper application, you can then ring up and change it if you want as they usually give you the earliest date (which horrified my daughter lol). We have it all to do again this year as DD is on pre-voc at Performers so they might see each other!Dancemum1973 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 24, 2019 11:45 am

DD sent her UCAS form in early and has got a GSA audition mid December, there were earlier dates to choose from too. I’m sure there will be loads more dates after Christmas.

Hi, yes, she had a few dates to choose from as I recall. I don’t remember seeing any dates outside of Guildford but we weren’t really looking for that (we live less than 10 miles away!) so I can’t tell you for sure.
Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry
Hi everyone, this is my first post. I have been stalking this website for the last couple of weeks and have found the advice really helpful! My DD is auditioning for 2020 entry and I'm here partly for my sanity, and hopefully to help with some advice too DD hasn't had an audition yet, her first is in under 3 weeks and I think we are just starting to feel the pressure....
Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry
Huge hugs to you and everyone auditioning. The support here is amazing and kept me sane lol. Just take one audition at a time and be super organised if you can lol. And enjoy!!!MTDreams wrote: ↑Mon Nov 25, 2019 3:02 pm Hi everyone, this is my first post. I have been stalking this website for the last couple of weeks and have found the advice really helpful!
