Audition Songs!!

On the steps of the palace is a simple repetitive accompaniment so I wouldn't worry about that. I could sight read it and I'm really not the best pianist but I'm not sure I would choose it as an audition song as it is a bit too repetitive and very conversational with really only the ending as a chance to show off your range, though if she really loves it and can do a lot with it go for it. My dd has auditioned for various things with 'I know things now' and although it wasn't for mt courses, she said no one has ever struggled with the accompaniment.
