Hi guys!
Sorry I am new to this site so hopefully its okay for me to post a quick question under this thread. Just wanted to check something - may be a silly question but better safe than sorry. When Central specify 'Neither song should be more than two minutes in length; if the song is longer than this it should be cut to 2 minutes or you should choose a 2 minute section from the song).' does that mean that the song MUST be two minutes or is it okay for it to be under? Im singing Little Girls from Annie and have cut it at 1.17 as it is the most natural cut. Just wanted to check if this is okay?
Thanks!

As I understand it, it just needs to be under 2 minutes. So if you're happy that your song shows off your voice enough in a shorter time (verse and chorus for example) that's totally fine.
Good luck :)

Hi out of interest I had a look on you tube, but I thought 1.17 was too short.
Does you tube give an accurate example of a song with timing ? I thought 1.41 would have been a better cut? I am no expert by any means so please ignore me if I am wrong ! !
A good choice though .

Just looked at the 1982 version on youtube and 1.46 is actually where I am cutting it! So yeah we're on the same page!
I had just recorded my music teacher playing a piano version so that I could sing along with it like an instrumental and my recording only lasts 1.17 thats where i was getting that from but thats probably played a bit faster than what I'll actually sing it at :)

Hi I am new to this site having only stumbled accross it a few days ago, I really wish I found it a few years ago!

My DD is in her final year at college, and has applied for Laine, Urdang, London Studio Centre, Birds, Masters, Stella Mann, Performers, LIPA and Chichester Uni.

She has auditioned for
Laine and been offered 3 year Diploma
Urdang and been offered Foundation she wanted the Degree
LSC not heard as yet

The other auditions are next year, my question as a completely clueless mum do we except all offers and then decide which is the best one?

She really loved Laines but the cost is a factor.

Hope I have posted in the correct place
