That's all our open days done now.
Form filling, photos, references and dreaded personal statement being prepared.

DD is 16 and applying for diploma but would be delighted to take one year pre-voc and reaudition in 12 months.
She will just be happy to be in an environment of like minded people as she is finding Yr 11 a tough one with non performing peers.
Luckily she has amazing support from her subject teachers who keep her focused on her GCSE's and who are determined to help DD achieve her goal for the next couple of years at least !
DD has GCSE entry exams ( not allowed to call them 'mocks' now ) throughout December so looking for Jan / Feb auditions
Love looking at updates - will try and call in more often to see how everyone is doing

Dancediva, my ds has had two auditions already and the key thing is to read the play really well and try and avoid ones from monologue books and/or internet sites if you can.

Exciting and really REALLY scary !!
What's your first one Mummyaud?
DD has GCSE entry exams ( mocks ! ) coming up in Dec so our auditions start in the new year.
We've been advised not to use any of the Urdang audition monologues as they are overdone & audition panels are fed up of hearing them.

Quick question........how do you know if a novel has been adapted to a play ?

Good Luck to you all - this was us last year and it makes me feel nervous reading your updates  We did Feb auditions so we could get mock GCSEs out of the way in Dec then concetrate on auditions then back to full revision for GCSes after Easter - my dd has nearly finished her first term at Laine and is having the time of her life (albeit she is just getting over pneumonia!) don't underestimate how tough the first term will be, but she has enjoyed every minute of it  Looking forward to hearing good news for all of the 2015 intake in due course xxx

She is doing Urdang on Sunday. Auditions have ended up being pretty much evenly spread starting now until Feb - just the way the dates came through. She is likely to know the outcome of the previous one before she goes onto the next. Not sure if that's a good thing, hoping any no's don't roll in the right before her next one but very possible! She is quite keen to get cracking. Know what you are saying about the monologues provided by Urdang. My daughter has others but is going to go with the Urdang one taught on the course for Sunday as she got the impression the faculty think its a bit of a shame not too use it after working on it for a week with them. We have changed her song though to something that shows off her voice better. She will use her alternative monologues for the other colleges.

All UCAS forms gone and direct applications sent off. Audition dates in for Mountview, Central, Urdang and Bird, but still waiting on GSA, Chichester and Arts Ed. EEK Fun times ahead for them all.
