6 year old comments

Post by coniger »

NOT a serious post but it made me giggle and I hope you don't mind me sharing as I'm more of a lurker than a poster.

My 6 and a half year old DS has started in the vocational part of his ballet school and so dances three times a week. He is the only boy. Yesterday I asked him why he wanted to go to dance lessons and he told me that

1) dancing made him feel good
2) because all the girls liked him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

he goes to an all boys school and shouts from the rafters that he goes to ballet - and now I know why! God help me when he becomes a teenager!

Perfect motivation coniger :D :D :D

I think my ds still feels that way about his ballet at 15 :D
He could go and he could shine, not just stay here counting time,
Son, we've got the chance to let him live

Such a lovely story coniger.

Too many times we read of young boys wanting to hide the fact that they do ballet.

May he continue to enjoy his dancing :D

Ha ha - he sounds fab, he will be very well trained in how to handle the ladies before he gets to his teens :D Reminded me of a similar incident, I was gong thru DS (8) Christmas Cards and found one from a girl in his class that read "Happy Christmas R, I am so glad we have broken up"

Lol Deb, I wouldn't dare meddle in the love affairs of 8 year olds :D Though he was upset when Orla, his polish girlfriend went home! Just can't keep up :-k
