The Globe Theatre

Post by bcnups »

Please listen to Radio Four,on at 11.15 a.m. Sunday morning (and repeated later in the week) the new series of the Reunion, featured those who were instrumental in the construction of The Globe theatre in Southwark, London. They certainly battled apathy and lack of funds over decades. So sad that the great American actor Sam Wanamaker and instigator of the whole thing, didn't live long enough to see the project finally completed. But this wonderful copy of an Elizabethan venue is a marvellous legacy.
