Details:

"Corners" is the working title of our latest film, to be shot in various locations across the UK, though mostly Newcastle upon Tyne, March 31st-April 11th and July 18th-August 31st.

Screenplay by Rocliffe BAFTA award winning John Hickman

We are looking for talented young people who can be natural in front of the camera

Most importantly, all our actors must be able to IMPROVISE.

An Ofsted registered film company. All our staff are DBS checked and we are fully insured.

We will raise money and awareness for CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) through sale of DVDs (all proceeds will go towards the nominated charity)

There are 2 paid roles, with several other unpaid roles.

Performers licences provided where required. We use professional chaperones.

Character 1

Name
Patter
Character Details
Suffers from anxiety, and doesn't function well in a crowd

Excellent imagination but very shy and unable to speak, almost too afraid to look up.

Excellent opportunity for an actor to show her sensitive/fragile/insecure side.

Patter has suffered in the past (parental abuse is alluded to through Patter's fear of closeness but we never get any detail).

Throughout the film Patter is forced to confront her deepest fears and begins to show resilience, but she never fully heals.
Remember to include AGE RANGE, GENDER and any required ETHNICITY, ACCENTS and PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS.

Character 2

Name
Ax
Character Details
Ax is explosive and liable to go off at any moment. His history is one of being expelled from school after school for his behaviour

Loyal to the end, he often makes bad decisions and speaks his mind inappropriately.

Throughout the film the audience sees Ax change from an unlikeable character to a very likeable (but misunderstood) young person.

This is a great role for an actor to show a range of explosive reactions, with underlying sensitivity
