Where should we hold these workshops

Post by admin »

OK the workshops are going to happen now the next question is where.

The first will be in London and may well be by the end of May for the under 13's.

Now I need to look at where else.

Please take the time to fill in the poll so we can get started on them.

Over 16 in Manchester would be good (after the exam period is over if possible)! Could make Liverpool / Leeds / Birmingham though if more popular :)

Birmingham and Manchester would be my first choice. Leeds is also a good location for me :)

:D well done for organizing - We can't do Saturdays so hoping some might be Sundays or during holidays?
Somewhere near Southampton/Bournemouth would be good as lots of budding actors etc down south! Everything else over 2 hours traveling time!

thanks \:D/

Definitely agree - DD would love workshops down in south! We miss some stuff because they're all up in London or up north!

Sounds good =D>
Please can you look at somewhere nr North Wales like Chester or LLandudno as there is never anything nearby & it takes over an hr & a half to get to Liverpool by train & about 3 hrs to get to S Wales etc!!
Fingers crossed :D

How long do you think these workshops would be? Most people have a class or activity on a Saturday or Sunday.

The format is about 2 hours in a small group. With the younger age group some talking to parents about the casting directors perspective and then each member of the group works with the casting director alone and then there is some group work. They are small sessions in order to make sure everyone gains from the session. Older age group is individual script work and then some group work and a chance to talk to the CD directly.

Will sort out details in the next few days. When the new website is up and running you will be able to book them directly through the site.

Got a couple of great names lined up so this is all getting very exciting.

Now just need enough hours in the day.

I'd love to see a workshop in Sheffield! Feel a bit left out over here sometimes! xD
