Re: Vocal Polyp

Annie Lennox had surgery in 1985, it didn't harm her career, she is still going strong! It says surgery improved natalie Imbruglia's voice. Sarah Brightman and Natalie Dessay are still singing, as is Justin Timberlake. However, it is also noted that others noticed a difference in their voice, while ...

Re: Vocal Polyp

This must be a very difficult decision for you to make. I found this list of famous singers who have had this sort of problem on the internet: Famous nodule sufferers Tiffany Hwang, a member from the popular South Korean pop group Girls' Generation developed vocal nodules in late 2008 during promoti...

Re: Tring Theatre Arts Course

One more thought. My DDs friend was offered a place 3 years ago at Arts Ed (post 16)but did not get a DaDa. Her parents re-mortgaged their home to finance it. I remember remarking to my DD that in the same boat we would not do that - she said she would never want us to, the extra strain of knowing t...

They have all loved it and done very well, though the oldest is now on same post 18 Laines course as friends of hers who carried on at her ordinary comprehensive school!!! I suppose the point is if talented you can succeed whichever ...

Thanks a lot :D Her audition is not until 2.30 so she should have plenty of time. She will just have to ask for directions to the college when she gets there :)

Re: Vocal Polyp

I also thought this was why CF had her op last year. I also know that Micael Ball had something similar. Sorry I can't offer any more help/advice, hope the advice works. My DD has a steamer that I bought her (she has lots of sore throats and her singing teacher recommended it). We got it from Argos,...

I was actually not that impressed with the girls - not many stood out for me, and think their styling was off sometimes as well.

American Idol

I don't watch this show every week, but try to catch a few esp Finals as the standard is so high (remember Adam Lambert    ) Anyway, Victoria Beckham was the guest judge on tonight and she looked so thin it was painful to watch. I just wanted her to stop judging and have a good ...
