Re: Auditioning for Sept 2019

Thanks amo. Well I guess he is either an absolute yes or an absolute no! I hate the waiting (as I’m sure we all do) I just want to know so we can move on - I never really worry about it being a no, as I view it as just not the right place for him and there will be other places and other opportunitie...

Re: Auditioning for Sept 2019

So, this waiting for audition results is killing me! My son had his audition for EDA 6th form almost 2 weeks ago and they did say results would be about 2 weeks. This is my second time at the rodeo as elder DS is currently at Tring but this seems harder this time around! I’m starting to feel quite n...

Re: Auditioning for Sept 2019

Thank you both for your replies. As they give out places as they audition I think it’s a good idea to audition early. I also think it takes a bit of pressure off if they get offered a place. We went to watch Sweeny Todd earlier in the year and my son decided then and there that it is the place for h...

Re: Auditioning for Sept 2019

Just wondering if anyone has any advice on Emil Dale. DC auditioning for 6th form and it is his first choice. Would love to hear anyone’s experiences of audition or share any knowledge of actual attendance on the 6th form course. DC would have to live in academy approved accommodation and would love...

Re: When to apply to Tring Park?

I am sure there are students that don’t apply until the open day has been. Personally I would apply as soon as audition dates come out as they do get fully booked. The audition experience is vital regardless of whether you want to go to the school or not. The open days also get fully booked so book ...

Re: Auditioning for Sept 2019 - 6th Form

He has a BA MT offer at Trinity Laban and a recall next week at GSA so definitely one of those two xx He LOVED his foundation year at Mountview and is still slightly devastated not to be doing the BA there x Ah, very good offer and fingers crossed for GSA. Must be a blow not to be offered BA at MV ...

That’s really good to know Gilly. Hammond is definitely on my sons list. Seems like a lovely school and great course.

Ah thank you Sherbert. What is your son doing after the foundation year? I may have read about it on the boards, but can’t recall. Has he enjoyed Mountview?

Re: Auditioning for Sept 2019 - 6th Form

My ds will be auditioning for 2019 6th form entry. He is not actually a dancer but an actor/singer. He will be trying for pure acting courses, which there don’t seem to be many. I was discounting MT as he does not dance but he LOVES to sing. Do any of you have any experience of a chIld getting a pla...

Re: Tring Park Sixth Form Auditions

Unfortunately there was an admin error claiming DaDa’s last year which effects last year, this year and next year. After that I understand the funding will be back in place. The school are offering their own scholarships. Obviously, if they see a candidate they don’t want to lose they will offer on ...

Re: BA / Foundation MT courses Sept 18

Hello all, after some advice..does anyone have any experience of the gsa foundation course in musical theatre? My dd was lucky enough to be offered this in her interview at her recall last sat, she is a dancer with not much experience on singing and acting (although has a good voice) she has alread...

Re: BA / Foundation MT courses Sept 18

Another option I was the thinking about was DD doing the BA at Chichester then an MA at somewhere like GSA/RA etc. I am worried that after a 1 year foundation she may not end up with any offer and will have lost out on the opportunity at Chichester. If she turned down this offer in favour of the Fou...

Very criptic. Did you have a bad experience?
