Re: Scholarship audition not submitted - what do you do?

As heartbreaking as it is, I would lay this to rest and move on. If that is their reaction then that speaks volumes to me. You are a fantastic friend and will be there to support her. There are other opportunities and other options I’m sure, this one just isn’t to be. The more it’s pursued, the nast...

Re: Auditioning for Sept 2019

DS has just been to his GSA recall and at the end of the panel interview after lunch was offered a place on the BA MT course!!! He is thrilled! We can't quite believe it tbh! We are so relieved! He's on singing recall for Arts Ed, 3rd round LAMDA, and MV foundation after being rejected for degree s...

Re: Which GCSE?!

Hi Ditzi, In my experience and only speaking for DS's school , the level of dance and drama was nowhere near or anything like his experience of training outside school. I wouldn't even call it dance , I would call it choreographed movement. Remember there are pretty much what you would call non-dan...

Has he not considered Emil Dale Academy?
My DS is a strong dancer too but he’s been pushed to his limits and improved 100% there.

Re: BA MUSICAL THEATRE COURSE FOR SEPT 2018

Hi Riverdance, I agree with you that the colleges do take who they want to take. I do feel however that when you talk about boys being accepted who have less "experience" than your son you really mean less talent. Many, many young people work for years to hone their skills etc. You may no...

Re: BA MUSICAL THEATRE COURSE FOR SEPT 2018

I hope No one sets out to upset anyone, we are all adults are we not? And post different opinions and approaches. Personally I do get fed up with certain situations and decisions in this business, it’s unfair and irrational and we all know it is! it’s nothing personal and this is a forum where we sh...

Re: BA MUSICAL THEATRE COURSE FOR SEPT 2018

I must admit as a mum of a boy who has been dancing and training in tap and ballet for 12 years and is at a pretty high standard, it boils my pee a little that other lads are accepted into top colleges as 'trainable'. And that they are all at the same standard after a year. I could have saved mysel...
