Re: On It Artists
Their children's section includes photos of the wrong gender and age. Or is my computer going mad? (& the glass of wine on this hot day). I'm genuinely interested why a non-London agent would help- I understood (perhaps incorrectly?) most work is in London, followed by Manchester. It sounds lik...

Re: Agent Abruptness
Hi, I want to know how agents treat their clients? My DS is with a new one who is lovely and very encouraging face to face. But to me on the phone is quite abrupt, rude and accusing me of spreading auditions to other children so they have the chance to go. I have said I never tell people what my DS...

On It Artists
Any views or experiences anyone? They've shown an interest in ds but our location makes me wary of signing up with a London based agent again, especially with the new school rules re absences. I've checked out past threads but they don't really go into any detail. Thanks everyone, hope you're enjoyi...

Re: Choosing the right agent, help
I know I bang on about it - but getting an agent is a two way process. Little point in being the least marketable person on a really busy agents list - because they'll be working for the best people first. Being one of a small number of people on the books of a perhaps new but very keen agent can b...

Re: Choosing the right agent, help
I had a feeling it wasn't just us! I have just sent another E-mail (I've sent one per week, don't think that's extreme.) Just think it's very rude and, even if we were to get offered now, we are of the opinion that we will still go with the small, lesser known agency, as at least they know how to c...

Re: Choosing the right agent, help
It is a minefield. My ds's now ex-agent was uncaring, harsh, bullying and never showed any evidence of valuing our ds's work and regularly stretched the truth. [-X My ds's list of credits on the website was not updated in the two years we were with the agent and it has put me off looking for another...

Re: Gypsy coming to the West End
Is this directed by Paul Kerryson tried out at Leicester Curve last year - there were rumours then it was going to the WE. This production used a child initially for Baby June but she was replaced after a scene with an adult playing down. Louise was played by an adult playing down. They insisted on...
MadFish
Hi everyone - hope you're all enjoying the Easter break :D Could anyone out there give a little insight into MadFish as an agency rather than a theatre school? I can't seem to access headshots or lists of credits / contacts etc via their website and I don't want to bother them. I know they get lots ...

Re: Brymack casting??
Hi allypally, Some time ago my ds was approached and asked to join there and then without an audition after we'd answered a general advertisement by asking for further details about clients, castings etc. My research didn't lead me far but I didn't like the photographs on the website and something j...

Re: Name and shame
[-X Brymack Castings. Offered a place without audition which made us slightly suspicious and we weren't really impressed by their website, photographs etc. However, we emailed them and said we would keep our half term free for them to phone us back with a date for a meeting in London (they weren't a...
