Re: Auditioning for 2023 entry

So it looks like dd will be taking a gap year. She got a no from GSA, her final BA audition this year. She is still waiting for a couple of interview dates for foundation, which were the outcomes of BA auditions. Neither of them are funded, and whatever the outcome she’s decided not to do a foundati...

Re: Auditioning for 2023 entry

And we’re finally done! All auditions over and results in. Stupidly proud of DS who having got no degree offers last year has got degree offers from Royal Welsh, RCS, EDA, Mountview and postgrad at RAM. To anyone not getting the results they want this year know that taking a year out is definitely ...

Re: Auditioning for 2023 entry

Hi Ditzi, fingers crossed for your DD, but if she doesn't get the result she hopes for I don't think its too late to apply for the foundation this year at GSA. It maybe worth taking a look at if your DD is interested. Wasn't sure if that was something you had thought about :) This is what we did wh...

Re: Auditioning for 2023 entry

Thanks biscuitneeded, she really enjoyed her audition today, she came out beaming with happiness. She loved the workshop, the facilities, the campus, the course leader and the way she was directed with her monologue, different to how she has been used to. She feels it went well, which is a big stat...

Re: Auditioning for 2023 entry

Break a leg to her - hope she enjoys it and it goes really well. My son will accept GSA unless he magically gets a place at Central from the reserve list. He really likes GSA too and would be very happy to go there, but just wants to wait a bit longer and see what happens. Thanks biscuitneeded, she...

Re: Auditioning for 2023 entry

@ditzi How did you daughter get on at GSA? Hope things are coming together for her! Hi, her recall is on Wednesday. Has your ds made a decision? Break a leg to her - hope she enjoys it and it goes really well. My son will accept GSA unless he magically gets a place at Central from the reserve list....

Re: Auditioning for 2023 entry

What a lovely position to be in. My DC has experience of both schools as an associate and 6th form audition then degree at Urdang only. Firstly let me say that my DC is very very happy at Urdang , really is all we had hoped for and more . The changes implemented and the extra facilities gained by j...

Re: Auditioning for 2023 entry

Has anyone had auditions or rejection from RADA after sending in their self tape? DD sent hers end of February, she knows it was received, but has heard nothing back yet. Thanks. Yes, heard back within 2/3 weeks. Was end of Feb still within deadline? I know we were right on the cusp and my DD submi...

Re: Auditioning for 2023 entry

Can someone shed some light on me please. Looking on the GSA website for info about the foundation course in acting, it says that student loans are available. Is this something new, as far as I was aware the foundation was not covered by student finance. There’s a link attached but it but it gives ...

Sorry, just realised I posted the MT course not Acting!

No problem, the fees would be the same for acting and mt foundation 😊

Re: Auditioning for 2023 entry

I was under the impression that you could apply for student finance for this, although no fees were listed as yet, so have no idea how much it is! Dd got rejected, but they suggested she apply for foundation. I was under the impression they automatically considered them, but it would seem not. So s...
