Re: Auditioning for 2023 entry
](*,) Thanks MTDreams, good to hear success stories! He isn’t confident with dance so just got to work on a bit of self belief! It is often the technical dance. Find a good dance teacher who runs an adult ballet class to get him a good basic foundation in ballet can really help. Doing the same with ...

Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry
It’s an OCR extended diploma so similar to a BTEC equivalent to 3 A levels, but very practical. They had their results 1/7.

Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry
Just like any other course you should contact the institution as there maybe some flexibility with the offer.
Good luck tomorrow, so glad DD OCR and we already know, don’t envy anyone waiting.

Re: Post 16 2023 Entry
We looked around London Emil Dale in Hitchin, ICT in Brighton and Read College in Reading all of which can offer help finding host families. DD was at Read for the last two years and was enormously happy and well supported she starts the MT degree at Conti in September.

Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry
Sadly no London maintenance as it’s just outside the M25 I have to say I wasn’t surprised as I love 40 miles west in a market town and rent is only a fraction cheaper. I had in fact thought it might be a bit more. Now her academic course is finished she is frantically working many hours in two jobs ...

Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry
I don’t remember how much for the bus, but inevitably several times a week travel I certain would not fit around the bus.
Plus DD has relied on trains to get her to college for the last two years and she decided she would rather take her chances with shanks pony at least for this first year.

Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry
Well done lawn's dd! Although it was for MT, my dd loved the vibe of Conti, very relaxed in the interview but the dance call was intense which is what she wanted. All the students were very welcoming and she felt a great atmosphere throughout her recall. The centre in Woking is obviously brand new,...

Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry
I *thought* degree courses at drama schools had to have x amount of contact hours (30 rings a bell) because this makes them eligible for something (spotlight??). It's a few years since the discussion came up but I vaguely remember hours being discussed at the time. This is unlike acting/MT courses ...

Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry
We just beginning to think about Uniform and had forgotten until I went to the Dancia International website. If you go to one of their stores and take your offer letter you get 15% discount which does make a massive difference when you are having to upgrade character shoes etc. They were the recomme...

Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry
Decisions have been made!! Dd has withdrawn from the Urdang waiting list, and firmed up her offers on Ucas, with Bird being her no 1 choice. She has also secured accommodation for next year,so it all seems very real now. Very exciting, and I’ve only had the slightest wobble just yesterday !!! Good ...
