Re: Plain Black Character Skirt
My daughter has just messaged me to say she needs one for next week. Does anyone know of anywhere that stocks them as I can only find ones with ribbons and most appear to be children's sizes and not adults. :D https://www.amazon.co.uk/Brigitta-Style-Character-Skirt-Ribbons/dp/5120036554/ref=sr_1_7?...

Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry
Hi, Is there anyone here who will be doing the 1 year intensive at Bodywork? My dd is considering it if funding for Laine doesnt come through, or the place at Bird off the reserve for degree doesnt. It looks like a good course and a bonus if the fees can be reduced by doing the BTEC along side it. ...

Re: Performing Arts Teaching
My dd is in a similar boat, but she is a dance teacher, (when not performing herself). The schools that she teaches for have all closed because of the current situation so she found herself a job in a supermarket to tide her over x

Re: After training

Bird do the DDI for ISTD exams but my daughter does not want to teach exams and this was very expensive and time consuming on top of everything else. My dd has a DDI but also does n...

Re: After training
Hello...so glad your dd loved her training, My dd graduated from Bodyworks a few years ago, and has worked ever since, mostly work found by herself without an agent. She has just returned from an 8 month contract in the caribbean! She is also a qualified performing arts teacher, and teaches as well ...

Re: Tricky dilemma
Wow well done on the offers
I would contact MTA and explain the situation. This happens all the time when students audition for several colleges/unis.
They will understand. This happened to us with DD a few years back, and the colleges were very understanding.
Good luck xx

Re: Sylvia Young Full Time School, Does anyone not get accepted?
my dd was a full timer a few years ago, after being a Saturday student. They most certainly do not take everybody who auditions, but they look for potential rather than the finished product. They don't always offer auditions either, so they must see potential in your friend. Just tell them to be the...

Hi all, hoping you lovely people can help! My DS is hoping to train in MT from 2020 he's 16 so is looking at either the 6th form route followed by degree or the Trinity Diploma. He is a very strong singer and a good actor but never formally trained in dance. Although not a natural dancer, he can mo...
