Re: September 2015

To answer the Chichester question for Lorry, DD has also had an offer for BA Music with Musical Theatre (applied for Musical Theatre though). It came through UCAS on 21st and she auditioned on 6th so just over 2 weeks. I've seen a few others have come through via twitter too. She preferred London Co...

Re: New DaDA icome scales for 15-16

That's useful, thanks Katymac. Good luck to your DDs Pearl and Lorry for a dada! I need to look into maintenance for accommodation for degree courses too. It's so expensive in London! :(

Re: September 2015

Good luck Katymac. I was a complete gibbering wreck checking emails every 5 minutes! It's the most stressful thing waiting for results. I agree that leaving it late is not such a bad thing and lots seem to get late offers. :)

Re: September 2015

Thanks Lorry. It's a great relief to get an offer, and especially a degree course so no funding issues (apart from London accommodation costs!). DD was surprised how much she enjoyed the audition and liked the place, as another friend didn't like it at all. I think it was a good fit for my DD. No da...

Re: September 2015

No problem Lorry. DD has just had an offer for the Musical Theatre degree at London College of Music, so very pleased that she is definitely going to drama school! (as long as no A level disasters!) A few more auditions to go but good news so far and a huge relief ! \:D/ =D>

Re: September 2015

Hi Lorry. No she went on her own by train as she was already in London the day before, so a very long day! I don't know the intake either. There were more there for the afternoon session and about 15 the morning after (another friend was there). :)

Re: September 2015

Hi Lorry. Yes my DD was at Chichester last week. There were only 9 at her audition. It was fairly straightforward, but her least favourite so far. They were asked to prepare a monologue but just a workshop in the end. Also a dance workshop which was similarly straightforward but no Tap as only 2 of ...

Re: Please tell me about NYMT and YMT..

Hi Tikka My dd has done YMT for the last 3 years, and I would say it is mainly singers they are looking for. You are assessed in all 3 disciplines and I think it is a total score that will get you a 'yes'. Dancing is possibly less important for some shows, but it may be different this year with the ...

Re: Phantom of the Opera

We saw it in Manchester last Saturday and it was AMAZING! John Owen Jones was unbelievable and had a standing ovation! The whole cast is excellent and so was the set. You wont be disappointed!! :D :D
