Re: Auditioning for 2016

DD had audition on Friday at Urdang and was offered a place on Saturday - not hanging about there then ! Funding audition 6th March so fingers crossed. Millennium tomorrow, Performers, Bird and Arts Ed to go. Anticipating difficult decisions as she is so in love with Cambridge Bodyworks and had her ...

Re: Auditioning for 2016

My DD is on the Foundation course at Bodyworks and doing Level 3 BTEC Performing Arts alongside the foundation syllabus. She is auditioning for 3 years elsewhere at their insistence which I think is commonplace with 'foundies' everywhere but her heart, head and feet are firmly in Cambridge. If anyon...

Re: not an empty nest...but need ideas on how to manage.

Nope.....I can't help at all and it's hideous. The house is quiet and tidy, I can get in the shower whenever I wish and I can make plans with friends for lunch. I can open the fridge and our favourite yogurt is still there and my petrol bill is lower. I haven't heard Ed Sheeran for days and I don't ...

Aww bless her,,is she doing the 3 year diploma or foundation? My dd is about to start her second year of the diploma She's starting Foundation as she's only 16 and was a late starter into ballet. Re: Urdang pre-audition course

DD did it and it was worth every penny. It was very intense as mentioned before - we had to get a taxi home one night as she was too exhausted to catch the tube ! The final day they do as a practice audition day which they were all SO nervous for but that alone was worth the fee. Excellent experienc...

Re: Talk to me about agencies - I'm clueless!

I think if you are looking into agencies the two things you need is commitment and time - something we have neither of at the minute ! I dont think its fair on you or them to sign up for an agency knowing you can only do one job in 10 or have a lot of other things in the pipeline that would hinder y...

Re: What to do at 16?

Hello lynne Our advice is to go for it - you just never can tell what is going to happen. DD is 16 and was desperate to audition this year for the September intake. She is an all round 'late starter' and although her strength is dance she hadn't done any ballet up to the age of 13. She auditioned fo...

Thank you all for your kind comments and really hope you all get to feel the relief we are feeling right now ! What a roller coaster !! Great to hear the positivity for Cambridge.
