Re: Auditioning for 2024 entry

I would contact Urdang and double check how it works but I'm pretty sure in my DD's 1st year of auditioning that there were some you didn't have to put on UCAS before auditioning and I think it didn't matter if your 5 spaces were taken but I can't completely remember how it worked.

Re: Auditioning for 2023 entry

Mine has also already moved and starts tomorrow. Don't worry if they haven't got something this year, it took DD 3 years of auditioning before she was accepted onto a degree course at a place she wished to be on a course she wished to do. Keep going - their day will come.

Re: Auditioning for 2023 entry

Yay, finally our DD got her offer in from Bird College last Tuesday. Such a long wait being on the reserve that sadly she won’t be able to go. 3 weeks to find accommodation is just a no go and she has signed contacts for accommodation elsewhere. A real shame as was her dream school. If only she had...

Re: Italia Conti Accommodation

Have you thought of trying nearby Guildford instead which has several educational institutes based there so a lot more student lets and your DD commuting in? I'm aware that has happened in previous years.

Re: Which is better?

Have you got a boy or a girl? Mine (female) was with one of those agencies you've named from age 11/12. The amount of auditions she got in 4 years didn't run into double figures, if fact I can only just go past counting them on one hand. Her headshot was never updated (despite paying). one year we w...

Re: Funding for the more expensive colleges

If you're above income to be eligible for a DADA then your child is also going to get min maintenance loan for a degree . In addition at places like MV and Arts Ed you can only borrow around £6K from student finance for tuition fee so you also need to take that cost into account. At PPA though you c...

Re: Auditioning for 2023 entry

I’m late to this , congrats to all with offers. My DD is also off to Bird in September and staying in Avery hill. Helenb76 is your daughter on the Snapchat group for incoming first years- she might have some luck there. We know of at least one person who got a late offer for another college who has...

Re: Auditioning for 2023 entry

Does anyone have any guidance of typical rent / accommodation costs (shared house / flat) in and around Chiswick. DD has been looking and it seems £1000 pcm is common. Am I dreaming in hoping for circa £700-£800. Having to balance this cost with ArtsEd top up fees. Many thanks. :) Sorry to be barer...

Re: Auditioning for 2023 entry

I hope they do access funding as it's £12k per year in fees and if child can't live at home for free/cheap and commute then that's also rent and living costs to find for 3 years.

Re: Auditioning for 2023 entry

DD found out today she is middle of the reserve list for Bird college degree. She’s not feeling hopeful and is really uncertain what to do. She’s not thrilled with her other offers and is now considering taking a year out to audition again. Or taking her place and then auditioning again. I’m not su...

Re: Auditioning for 2023 entry

Wonder if someone can help me with this. My daughter has just received a drama school offer for a course she had been rejected from in the Spring. It's not her perfect course, but she's considering it. She says she is able to defer the course offered until September 2024. I've looked it up and if sh...
