Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry

Just looking ahead to the 2023 audition cycle and thinking of choices, and how to make the best use of the next few months in terms of training. - top choices are RWCMD, GSA, Mountview but given how competitive they are to get in, we want to put some other good options down too, so considering whic...

Thanks :D
Have any offers for a foundie place been made yet?

Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry

I am thrilled to say my DS auditions are now done! He has been offered Urdang, Arts Ed and now GSA (Mountview recall he is going to cancel) he’s going to make up his mind on the offers he currently holds. Champagne is in order tonight! Congratulations on such fabulous offers, my DD's favourite audi...

Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry

Has anyone had any DADA or funding responses from Laines? Anyone know when these go out? We were led to believe May, but hearing rumours people have just got them? Yes I think it will be may, thats what we’ve heard and that’s when they’ve been always done it in the past. I can’t possibly see how th...

None at all but on Instagram they seem to have a great success rate of acceptance into drama schools.

Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry

The problem I found with watching shows is that last year there were also on-line! Me and DD watched two, both from well-regarded schools and weren't keen on either. There were social distancing rules imposed on the performers which made it difficult. One was a place daughter hadn't applied to the ...

Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry

Its just shows how everyones experiences are different. A friend of my DD got offered the degree at EDA without being a dancer, but he was a really strong actor/singer. He's now at Mountview. Was that for 2021 entry? My daughter's audition was. It took the form of a dancing workshop for a few hours...

Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry

Not posted here for a while but love reading on everyone else’s success stories. Was a regular poster when my eldest dd was auditioning and she is now in 2nd year at Wilkes. My younger dd is now looking to audition to start in Sept ‘23 but whilst she is as good a dancer, dancing is her least favour...

Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry

Does anyone know how long it takes to get a reply either way from GSA? We are sure she’s been unsuccessful, but would be nice to get that confirmed so we can forget about it and move on. She sent her tapes off mid January. Mine auditioned in mid January and had a recall 16th Feb and was offered a p...

Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry

They just said 20 for each course, the lessons of dance etc are streamed across the 3 courses which does make it better, they didn’t mention (not that I heard) foundation. Does anyone know if you apply for BA but aren’t quite right would they offer you foundation? Or would you have had to apply for...

Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry

Query about GSA. Not sure if anyone can help but I keep hearing the GSA are cutting their intake this year for MT to approx 20 students as opposed to 36/38. Is this a fact and has anyone got any idea why? It doesn’t make sense to me and would like some insights. We are still waiting to hear about r...

Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry

I can’t find any league type tables for the dance colleges offering Trinity Diplomas, I briefly know of some colleges reputations but DDs teacher doesn’t have enough experience to be able to advise and has kept out of the process as never had a student ...

Well done! I can post there in 2 years 🤣
I am dreading graduation, it's all just such a worry - hopefully people will be generous enough to share any experiences in life after graduation.
