That was the same for Ds last year. He got paid a certain amount and was in about 40 performances. There are some similar workshops near to us but haven't ever bothered as it feels like you are paying for your child to appear in only a couple of performances!

The head at Ds school is great. She realises that the life experience that ds gets from what he is doing is more than he could learn at school!! It helps that he still manages to keep up with his school work. She does have to explain any absences but is still supportive.

Hi, we found the opposite- there seemed to be more for girls and not many for ds!! I guess it changes all the time. Keep trying, it took Ds two years of auditions and rejection before he got a part in Sound of Music.
