Re: Hints & tips for creating a portfolio career in Dance

That doesn't read quite the way I meant when I wrote it, sorry - I was struggling with registering and getting the password thingie - I've sorted it now and when I read my last post back it was rude - I am sorry I didn't intend to be rude - what I meant was:

Thanks so much for thinking of her

How do you get good video for showreels?

That's it really - in groups it's hard to see your performer

Is there an issue with videos having other people (and othe children when younger) in

How do you mark out 'yours'

& what editing packages do you all use?

Re: After graduation....

I don't think it's necessarily a problem - rather just that colour-blind casting is fine in principal but sometimes unconscious bias can occur.

Who knows - she might find an agent this week, she might find the right audition and get a job :D (fingers crossed)

Re: After graduation....

AT the other end of the scale DD is having problems finding an agent She doesn't 'fit' bacause alongside her more traditional stuff (Ballet. Commercail, Tap, Contemporary and Jazz) she has the Ballroom. Latin, Salsa and African - all of which she has done for twice as long as the others & that's...

Re: Show reel question

Sorry, I don't know

But I have to say finding good quality video to add to showreels is very hard - other children are often in them or the video is wobbly, or you can't tell at that distance which is yours because of the same costume

It's a nightmare!
