Re: identification at auditions
Hi Oscar - We've only had to take a headshot photo for auditions before, sometimes not even that (although i do carry one in with me in a plastic file with those all important up to date measurements inc.. school address, tel no & GP dtls (in case reqd). Just a thought.. does if your DS is in sp...

Re: help getting a licence
A friend of mine was advised recently that the '4 day rule in 6 mth without a licence' does not apply anymore & you need a licence for any work (pd or unpaid)- can anyone elaborate on that? Oh & mmummyofmany, try your LEA website - ours has a license form on it to download - perahps yours do...

Re: Fit to work certificates-advice please....
Well.... I paid £10 (the cost that my 12 yr old was charged in aug) & referred the surgery to that invoice & left it at that. Today I got in the post, another invoice less the £10 paid & o/s amount showing of £10 , a lengthy A4 typed letter explaining that the previous GP had 'done us a ...

Re: Report on Child Performance
ditto - thanks obsteve -interesting to note that the '4 day of working without a licence within 6 mths' is still apparant. I was recently advised that this was not the case anymore & children have to be licensed for even a 1 day non-payment or amateur work. Now I'm confused!

Re: Fit to work certificates-advice please....
Thanks mathsmum & i do apologise if this has been forum has been raised before (didn't think about checking the on history  ) but I suppose my main rant was a 100% increase in 6 mths!! - now reading everyone else's views + HCS angle from a GP point of view (thanks!), the charge isn't as ba...

Re: Fit to work certificates-advice please....

Re: Fit to work certificates-advice please....
Hi HCS Thanks for that!! - Interesting insight into a GP surgery & really apreciate your time taken. Loving the 'take up an appointment time' will try that next time, although feel sooo guilty taking up GP time, but as you say NHS GPs are paid for each "item of work" for the NHS, so th...

Re: Fit to work certificates-advice please....
Isn't this interesting? NHS GPs are funded by the taxpayer... it's not like eg., a solicitor who charges £xx an hour as that is how they make a living. I also get cross at the NHS GP 0845 numbers - this is a way for the partners in the GP practice to make even more money out of the ill - don't get m...

Re: Fit to work certificates-advice please....
Thanks Girlies - I think I may do the 'ask for a callback from GP' next time. I went in into the surgery & was advised to write-in. This is interesting isn't it, the different in amounts? As a sIdenote, my DH was offered a recent job (nothing to do with acting! I hasten to add!) & it require...
