Re: The Kids Voice
My daughter did a Jess Glynn song for her a capella and then used it again for her first backing track song. They also asked her to sing a musical theatre song as she had said that was her strength as she is only 9 and only just getting in to pop. They were happy with that. I trawled YouTube listeni...

Re: The Kids Voice
We were told early October. They said everyone would hear one way or the other which is good.

Re: The Kids Voice
Ah OK. She did the first slot so probably passed in the corridor! I think we've been told to be available from 9.30am but no specific time yet. In fact we haven't had venue details sent yet - but I'm guessing it's BSPA! She'll be tired as in the Saturday night Fiddler performance as up early for thi...

Re: The Kids Voice
No we're not BSPA although I was over there only last week for the Jo Hawes workshop with my daughter :-) She's doing the chitty auditions in a few weeks time as she's 9. She's in Fiddler on the Roof at the hippodrome in 2 weeks time as well, so keeping busy!

Oh that's great Scoobydoo - is that the one at the Alma? We are in Bristol as well.

Re: The Kids Voice
Good luck to her! Hope she enjoys it. We were at Cardiff back in August and children were just ushered from room to room very quietly - there were no wild celebrations and I only saw a few tears. Hopefully she will have a good time!

Re: The Kids Voice
My DD had a full hour interview with the researchers at her audition as well, not many seemed to get that far, but thousands will have been seen all over the country so we're not holding our breath!! My daughter did a pop song acapella,, and then could redo the same song with a backing track in the ...

Re: The Kids Voice
I'm sorry to hear that as well. Obviously we have only seen the positive so far and I hope that when her time comes to be 'let go', which of course all except 1 will inevitably be, they do it more sensitively. I have my guard up - she is only 9 as well.

Re: The Kids Voice
I did. It was very professional at the audition stage and she had a great experience. We are waiting to see if she has a recall. I however would not agree to her appearing on the show until I know the exact format of the show and have the reassurances I need to ensure that she won't be set up for hu...
Spirit
I'm after some advice... Does anyone think it worthwhile auditioning for Spirit performers if you don't live in London. Think 90mins by train + tube travel and at a cost of £50 a time?! We are in Bristol and whilst there are many different musical theatre groups such as stagecoach, PQA, Bristol Scho...

Re: Film - Mary poppins 2
My daughter's acting teacher has another girl who has a recall. We are with Stagecoach Agency as that's one of the places my daughter trains at the moment. It suits us at the moment as they aren't pushy with commercials and if you don't live near London they don't expect you to be able to drop every...

It's on kccp. Just says 'Paul's nice, rebellious'. Gives details of when you would need to be available. Nothing more specific.

I just happen to know someone who has a mid September recall date. Don't know anything more specific.

Re: Stage School
The trailers were enough to put me off. Can't believe it would do that school any favours?! Hardly shows the students in a positive, professional light. Not sure it's somewhere I'd be encouraging my daughter to apply to in the future. If they are really that vile to each other I'm surprised any stud...

Re: Harry Potter cursed child
3 part! Wow I've read the play script and whilst I enjoyed it, I think 3 films may be pushing it!! At least they are more likely to cast children in the children's roles for film though.
