Street dance

Hi all, wondering if anyone could share their experiences and thoughts. DS is loving his street dance but our local dance school only does 1 hour a week, so if he wanted to get a bit more serious how do you "train" for street dance? I can't see any grades like ballet or anything. He is onl...

Re: logging in

I'm no expert but my home pc does this and I think it's because DH clears cookies or something? Does that make sense?

School mums

Hello, I just need to rant about this..... What is it with some mums that they think it's their kids turn for a big part in the school play and pester the drama department, then complain to the school when a) it's not a big enough part, and b) they could be doing something "more useful like goi...

Re: Running your DC's spotlight Account?

Any experts know how to sort the credits into sections for theatre/film/commercials etc - I have seen a profile that had tabs which I thought looked good. Or do CDs really prefer one long list even though the types of work are all jumbled up?

Re: Lamda monologue help

Any ideas for a serious (not comedy) grade 1 monologue for a 9yo boy - he is dismissing everything I suggest from Ronald Dahl as too girly?! Thanks

Re: kccp - age limits

For kccp you put a specific age in your profile. If that fits the range the CD wants, you can apply. If it is outside, the system won't allow you to apply. You can change the age on your profile, but it takes 24 hours to apply. Hope that helps

Time off school

Hello, can you let me know what you think a reasonable amount of time off school for a short film is? We've done lots, but always out of term/ weekends. But we have been asked to do a 5 day one during term time, and although it's the main part and should be high quality, it seems like a lot of time ...

Re: Sylvia Young Full Time School

Hi all, I am very interested in all your comments on this, and the related threads. DS is very keen to apply for the FT school, but I am worried that although he does street dance and jazz he has never done ballet or tap. I would be grateful for any thoughts and insights. I can't work out from the w...
