Re: Stagebox audition
When my DD auditioned last year we waited around 2 weeks for a reply and then it was a phone call to say she got on to the Elite Team for London. If you haven't heard after another few days I am sure they won't mind if you send a quick email over to the main email address - they are very nice ladies...

Re: Disappointed at Local college.
Not so sure about A levels. The school she attends now is the only 6th form for around 10 miles apart from the college where she had her trial day and it appears they are really wanting the higher attaining students which is fair enough. She can do an A level alongside the course if she wants to wh...

Re: DD is looking for accommodation in Portsmouth for Panto
She should also look a short train distance away maybe - Portsmouth isn't the nicest of cities (sorry if anyone on here is from Portsmouth). The train route along the south coast has frequent stops so just outside, say Southsea, shouldn't be too far away and may be a little cheaper.x

Re: Fees to join agency
As a child you have to have an agent or can't go on to Spotlight.welshblackbird wrote:Thank you. That's helpful. So all I really need to pay is Spotlight fees (around £100) plus one headshot to go into the directory? Sorry I am new to all this

Re: Auditioning for SEPT 2018
My DS has performed from a young age but was always adamant as were we, that he should take A Levels, he has a good level of academic ability. He had a great standard of vocational training in dance, singing and acting outside of school and reached a high level of attainment, still certain of the A...

Re: Rearranging audition times
We have changed times before and it's not been a problem, only by an hour or so though. Might be different with children but if I know I can't get my DD to a casting for the time given I have asked for a later time and it's not been a problem. I'd rather that than run in really late.

I am sure this was a casting call for a USA based girl - which would be why you haven't heard back.

Re: New Spotlight and Equity membership criteria
Christ I would say many Colleges have more than 22 students in many of their classes - including some well known ones.!! At least they did when we went on Open Days.

Personal Statements
Hi all. My DD will be starting the rollercoaster ride of applyng and hopefully auditioning at colleges such as Bird for 2018 entry. As we haven't yet done this I am asking if anybody can help with how to start a Personal Statement to accompany the applications. The inner content won't be a problem, ...

Re: Taking the next step competition
We applied but not heard a thing so thought the video we submitted just wasn't good enough - I'd say they've had thousands of applications though and they were at Move It 2017, where again hundreds of tennagers would have applied. Shame really as my DD would have loved to of been just considered for...

Re: Best value Foundation courses?
Dd2 did a Foundation course over a BTEC as she was working at RAD Adv2 Ballet and ISTD Adv 1 Tap and Modern. The Foundation course meant she kept her dance level high whilst working on her weaker aspects of acting and singing. Her Foundation course tutors were from Bristol Old Vic, Bird, GSA, Londo...
