Re: After graduation....

My dd does have an agent but she has found work on her own too and hasn't stopped working since graduating last year..she is currently rehearsing for a comedy play and then got the script yesterday for her next play...and has secured both kids panto...

Re: Foundation at Laine

Has anybody got any experience of the Foundation course at Laine ? Laine is my DDs first choice - partly due to reputation but also just a gut feeling at the audition. She has actually had a three year offer somewhere else which she was going to accept as that seemed the sensible thing to do but we...

Re: Auditioning for SEPT 2018

We had to do the same Robin64 after having been to GP twice, ended up taking to emergency care in the evening. Only symptom now is that when DS has cold/sore throat just hits him harder. Although really recommend pure manukka honey as he recovers quickly with it. How is your DD today Rhythmanddream...

My DS has London Studio Centre on Monday and Mountview on Friday. Feeling a bit rusty as it is the end of the two week break from dance, singing and drama though!

Re: Auditioning for SEPT 2018

So sorry to hear of the rejections... try not to look at it as 'you are not right for us' but more of a 'we are not right for you'. Something better will be around the corner xxx have any of you considered Bodyworks Cambridge? They have latervauditions xx

Re: BA / Foundation MT courses Sept 18

huge congratulations to your DD. I would also seriously consider one of the 3 year offers. PPA is fairly new, but I know someone who went there and has since done very well. Contis is a very well known and highly regarded establishment, and I think the 3 year offer there is a brilliant acheivement. ...

Very good luck to your DD. I can imagine it was not a decision that was easily made.

English Lit is a great subject to study and of course it will help her greatly if she decides to go back to acting at a later date. :D

Re: DDE qualification

My DD has DDI in tap and modern jazz and teaches on Saturdays and Wednesdays at Bodyworks Cambridge and another dance school in Cambridge...and it fits in nicely when she is performing professionally too. She does not enter children for exams and is pretty much given free range on what she teaches (...

If she is already doing the foundation course, it sounds like Excelerate is a similar thing. It reads that it is more for students that are unsure if it is ...
