Re: Please tell me about NYMT and YMT..
My dd's thinking of applying for Y MT this year. She's 14, never done Latin dance but would love to have a go. There's also a contemporary dance one. She currently only does ballet (can't fit tap and modern into her timetable until after Christmas). Just don't know if she should do a ballet summer s...

Jamaican and Trinidadian Independence
Hi,
My dd is doing GCSE dance. Her homework is to find out something about the above. She's searched the internet and can't find anything.
I know some of you have done or doing GCSE dance - can anyone help?
TIA.

Hi Katymac,
My dd was given a book called 'Nutrition for the dancer'. It includes recipes for healthy snacks, meals etc and there's also a chapter for the young dancer. I'd definitely recommend. Hth

Liberatus, Swindon
Hi,
I was talking to a mum last week, and she said her dd was trying for Liberatus this year. I'd not heard of this college and wondered if anyone knows any more?

Re: Ballet site "going into archive"
Hi,
I will miss the 'ballet.co.uk/doingdance' forum and learned so much from all you parents of dancing children
My dd is in Yr9 at Hammond - only started in September so we're newbies.
I do hope there'll be another forum as our next auditions will be for 6th form....scary
